Andrew Wiggins Dunks on Luka Doncic

In Game 3 of the WCF, the Dallas Mavericks saw themselves looking down an alley of no hope. They could not steal a game at Golden State and now needed to win Game 3. But Luka Doncic left that game with a loss and a controversial poster that he agreed with.

The Dallas Mavericks lost the very important game 3 of the Western Conference finals. They find themselves in a position of no redemption. All the odds are further stacked against them. No matter what Dallas has been able to throw at the Warriors, it does not slow them down.

Dallas was finally back at home after an awful road trip for the first two games of the WCF. They lost both games and had the Warriors figure out glaring weaknesses in their team. Dallas’ one-man style of play had no effect as they lost even though Luka scored 40+ points in game 2.

Luka Doncic gets postered and impressed

Game 3 began as competitively as it could have. At the end of the first, the Warriors led by just 3. At the half, the lead dropped down to just 1. Then Dallas choked where they saw themselves down by 10 at the end of the 3rd.

And that’s all that needs to be said. Dallas plays well throughout games and sees it all get squandered in minutes. They missed 10 shots and made 7 in the 3rd quarter. Luka Doncic did not score a single point in the entirety of the 2nd quarter. And he got punished in the 4th by becoming the victim of an Andrew Wiggins poster.

The Warriors were up 8 points with 6 minutes in the game. Curry made a pass out to Wiggins who drove into the paint with one intention in mind. To draw blood.

Initially, they called that an offensive foul on Wiggins but overturned it after looking at it again. Fans believed the refs were trying to shield Luka Doncic. But the golden boy himself agreed with the overturn.

“I got hit a little bit, but that was impressive, I’m not going to lie. I saw the video again, and I was like, ooh. That was pretty incredible. I wish I had those bunnies.”

No team has ever come back from down 3-0 and Dallas does not look to be the first to do that either. Hopefully, they win game 4 to save face but there is not anything else they can look forward to.
