The 2022-2023 NBA season has just begun. However, it is over for the Brooklyn Nets coach Steve Nash. Reports broke out that he has been fired largely due to the Nets’ slow start this season. They currently have a record of 2 wins and 5 losses. It seems that the Nets ownership thought the team could use a change in coaching style.

We are all familiar that Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant requested a trade from the Nets in the NBA off-season. Moreover, he demanded the firing of Steve Nash. It seems his wish has come true, at least to some extent. Perhaps KD already sensed something was wrong with this team even before the season began and blamed Nash for it.

When this news broke out, NBA fans were quick to share their responses and reactions to this decision by the Brooklyn Nets. We should want to know what they said and understand the context behind this move early in the NBA season.
Steve Nash and the Brooklyn Nets “mutually agreed” to part ways during the ongoing 2022-2023 NBA season
One should wonder if Nash’s future with the Nets was ever certain. After all, both Kyrie Irving and KD have made led us to believe they did not respect him. Furthermore, KD did request that Nash be fired if he were to stay. Some people have mixed emotions and are actually glad he is gone, “Makes me happy, makes me smile”

Once the NBA season began, Ben Simmons proved to be a disappointment. It seems that the Nets have blamed that on Nash’s decision-making. Additionally, Steve also got extremely heated and was ejected from the game against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks. Brooklyn ended up losing the game.

Perhaps Joe Tsai had seen enough to concede with KD’s perspective. However, with Kyrie’s behaviors and Ben Simmons’ problems, the Nets still have a lot of changes to make if they wish to become legitimate contenders for a championship.
Yeah, I’m not sure firing Steve Nash fixes anything for the Nets.

We would assume that being fired is a bad thing. However, considering the situation that the Nets are still in, people believe this is actually a good situation for Steve Nash.
Steve Nash is generationally rich and in his 40s and can now go on vacations for the rest of his life instead of dealing with whatever horrible bullshit Kyrie is on on any given day, seems like a huge win for him personally.

This is certainly an amusing way to look at the situation. However, there is no denying that Nash had a golden opportunity to coach a talented team and ended up losing it.
