The Denver Nuggets defeated the Detroit Pistons in the NBA regular season 103-107 on the 21st of November. A lot of unwanted action and drama unfolded in the first half of the game itself, involving star center Nikola Jokic and Nuggets’ Coach Michael Malone.
Both of them were ejected in the first half as they received two technical fouls while arguing with the referees. However, while the Nuggets’ fans were moaning about this decision, the Lakers’ fans were rejoicing in this one. Many Lakers fans took to social media to slander the Nuggets fans, one fan wrote, “Music to My Ears”, in relevance to Jokic and Malone being ejected in the first half.
Although the Nuggets won the game their fans were left fuming with the ejections by the referees, they were also annoyed by the bad officiating done in the game. It remains to be seen how the NBA tackles this situation of the referees and provides a resolution to the teams complaining about this.
Michael Malone and Nikola Jokic’s ejections please Lakers fans
The Nuggets’ Head coach Michael Malone and star center Mikola Jokic’s ejections in the first half of the match against the Pistons well and truly pleased the Lakers’ fans in the NBA. The Lakers fans have an immense rivalry with the Denver Nuggets in the West.

The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the most astute teams in the NBA, but in recent years they have not been up to the mark. On the contrary, the Nuggets have been performing extremely well and won the NBA championship last season.
There has been a brewing rivalry between the LA Lakers and Denver Nuggets
The LA Lakers have always been at the helm of the NBA with the likes of LeBron James and Anthony Davis on their roster but recently have not been performing according to their standards. The Nuggets, on the other hand, continue to be playing incredibly well and won the NBA title this past season.

Not only that, the LA Lakers were beaten by the Denver Nuggets in the NBA play-offs 0-4 which was seen as an insulting loss to the franchise. This created a brewing rivalry between the two fanbases in the Western Conference.
It remains to be seen how and when the Lakers get the better of the Nuggets in the NBA and Lakers fans too are waiting to seize their moment. For now, the Denver Nuggets have 1 over the Lakers in the NBA over the last season’s results.
