Who will be chosen to replace Stephen Curry for the 2023 NBA All-Star Game? Fans were disappointed to find out that the Golden State Warriors star has been sidelined and might miss multiple weeks. As we all know, Curry injured his knee in a game against the Dallas Mavericks and immediately stopped playing. While there is no clear picture of his return timetable, some claim that he will certainly miss the 2023 NBA All-Star Game.
The game is on February 19th. Therefore, there isn’t much time for Steph to completely heal up. Despite being voted by the fans are a starter, it is highly unlikely for us to see Steph put on a show. Let us take a look at how the league will handle this and what possible replacements they could have for Curry.
Ja Morant is one of the contenders to replace Stephen Curry as a starter for the 2023 NBA All-Star game
As soon as we found out about the NBA All-Star game starters and reserves, critics shared as to which players were being overrated and underrated. However, not many can argue with the results, considering that the fans play a huge role in which players step on the court. That said, here is the 2023 NBA All-Star game pool from both conferences.
The starters were supposed to be; LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Stephen Curry, Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, Nikola Jokic, Donovan Mitchell, and Zion Williamson. The reserves included Joel Embiid, Ja Morant, Jaylen Brown, Bam Adebayo, DeMar DeRozan, Paul George, Jrue Holiday, and several other players.
Team Captains @KingJames and @Giannis_An34 will select from the Player Pool in the 2023 #NBAAllStar Draft presented by Jordan Brand.

Notable stars who were performing well this season, but snubbed from the list include James Harden, Anthony Davis, De’Aaron Fox, and Anthony Edwards. Perhaps they simply didn’t have enough momentum with the fans this year.
Curry was expected to be a starter. But he might not play. That raises a valid question about which player from the reserves is most likely to replace Curry. Based on his elevated play, we feel that Ja Morant is the one who deserves to be a starter this season.
His playstyle and mentality are simply electrifying and captivating the audience. Therefore, we might see Morant as a starter for the All-Star game. Morant is listed as a reserve. However, if he becomes a starter, we might see one of the snubbed players get a chance.
We are only siding with Morant because he is a guard from the Western Conference. Just like Curry. If the league bends the rules, they should certainly take Joel Embiid. The Philadelphia 76ers star will not be a starter from the East despite having an MVP season. In any case, Curry’s health will determine a lot. After all, players like Zion and KD are also currently sidelined. If they do not play, hopefully, others will get a chance to participate.
