Tensions have risen in Dallas involving Luka Doncic and his future with the Mavericks. This season was fairly smooth sailing up until February. The Mavs were set to make another playoff run after nearly upsetting the defending champions last season, the Golden State Warriors. The Slovenian superstar is still playing at a very high level but his supporting squad needs a lot of tweaking.
In February, Kyrie Irving was shipped to the Mavericks after his lackluster career with the Brooklyn Nets. Kai was among the high-scoring guard paired alongside Luka Doncic. This was mainly an attempt to add another superstar to the roster but things haven’t panned out the way they had hoped it would. Since February, the Dallas Mavericks have lost over a dozen games, ultimately losing their spot among the top six teams of the West.
With every superstar trying to be a leader of their own, it is nearly impossible for teams like the Mavericks to survive with both Doncic and Irving. Sacrifices are necessary in these situations, but neither player can afford to do them. Dallas is one spot below the play-in tournament births. Luka will most probably miss out on the playoffs for the first time in a while.

But if at all there was a reason they were both present at the arena, it is because both teams are facing each other on Saturday. Players usually get some time off to set back and relax before a game and this is one of those moments. But the truth could go either way. Luka Doncic and Jimmy have had a fairly good relationship with each other.
If Luka Doncic was at all to sign with the Miami Heat, they would possibly win the championship with ease. The Heat already has a powerful defensive squad but needs help offensively. Luka’s 25+ points per game could take them back to title contention and help Butler earn redemption for his 2020 Finals loss.
