NBA fans were startled to find a video of Shaquille O’Neal’s daughter dunking a basketball. As many of us might already be aware, Shaq’s sons Shareef and Shaqir have come into the spotlight due to their shared desire to play basketball. In fact, Shareef has already been given a missed opportunity by the Los Angeles Lakers.
However, not much is known about his daughters in comparison. This makes sense considering that most NBA fans know that women will not be playing in the league and will have to participate in the NBA. Nonetheless, these same fans were somewhat impressed after finding out that Me’arah O’Neal recently dunked a basketball. The Los Angles Lakers legend has 3 daughters. The eldest is named Taahirah O’Neal and she is currently 26 years old. Taahirah is working as a communications analyst for Pepsico. His second daughter Amirah O’Neal is 21 years old and playing college basketball for the LSU Tigers.
That leaves us with Me’arah O’Neal, who recently turned 17 years old and is in her sophomore year of high school. It is somewhat difficult for boys to manage to dunk at that point in their lives. However, Taahirah has shown that she is able to accomplish the same. Fans only found out after a video of her attempting a dunk was released.
As we can tell, Me’arah got a decent lift and was able to grab the rim while trying to throw down the dunk. Although it wasn’t perfect, it is still a commendable achievement. After all, there are a handful of women basketball players in the WNBA capable of doing the same.
Not only does Me’arah O’Neal have a good vertical jump, but she also seems to be a significantly better long-distance shooter when compared to her father. Moreover, she is already listed as 6’4 and could continue growing as she works on her shooting.
