Skip Bayless is one of the sports television personalities that’s always in the news for one thing or another. His comments almost always lead him to end up in a feud with players or other celebrities. Recently, he has been having beef with Russell Westbrook.
It all started when Skip was having a go at the LA Lakers for acquiring Max Christie from Michigan State. He backed up his criticism with some stats too. The American mentioned, “Max Christie, who shot only 32% from 3 last season. “. If that wasn’t enough, he also had a go at Westbrook at the end of the tweet by calling the Lakers player “Westbrick”.
Skip mentions Russ more than anyone expected. He recently uploaded an in-depth analysis of the Lakers star’s career on his YouTube channel.
Although the comment was harsh, many fans agreed with Skip. Westbrook has not had the impact he would have liked. He arrived as the missing piece to go with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Since then, he has failed to help the Lakers to the NBA Championship. To make things worse, the Los Angeles franchise also missed the playoffs this year, making it an extremely disappointing season.
Skip Bayless keeps beef going with Russ Westbrook
Russ responded to the original tweet that Skip put out a couple of days ago. What he said seemed like a warning to Skip, who has been having the player’s name on his mouth for a while now.
Yoooo… watch your mouth. Don’t say anything here you wouldn’t say to my face. https://t.co/0u8nFXYLY8

At this point, it doesn’t seem like either of them is going to back down against one another. Skip replied to Russ’ tweet this morning. To make the beef more interesting, he responded by saying, “happy to talk face-to-face”. This was a direct shot at Russ when he meant Skip would not dare to talk to his face.
Skip did not hold himself back there. He took another shot at RW as he spoke about how he was being overpaid in the NBA.
Hey, Russell Westbrook (@russwest44) … happy to talk face-to-face about the nickname I believe I originated in 2012. JOIN ME ON TV/PODCAST. Let’s talk about how you’ll make $47 mil next yr after being THE WORST 3-PT SHOOTER IN THE NBA! Most overpaid player ever? PLEASE JOIN ME

Russ will enter the final year of his contract with the Lakers next year. There have been reports that he is expected to opt in and not go for free agency. As Skip said, he is expected to make about $47m next year. His 3-pt percentage was actually not the worst in the league as he had a 29.8% in 3-pointers made. However, we all can agree on the fact Russ has not been able to fulfill his potential with the Lakers during his time with them.
