Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson have had quite the journey coming up in the NBA for the last decade. They have been extremely successful together winning four titles and making eight finals appearances as well.
They continue to dominate the league with their insane three-point shooting efficiency. And now, fan-favorite Splash Brothers are prepping to compete in the sport of golf. Their opponents are pretty much the same except that they play for the NFL.

Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce will be their opponents. These four individuals are set to compete against each other on The Match. This will be a 12-hole exhibition game that is scheduled to take place at Wynn, Las Vegas on June 29, 2023. This is the first time that the tournament will feature a cross between the NFL and NBA. However, two participants will be making their golf debut.
Both Stephen Curry and Patrick Mahomes have previously appeared on The Match. Curry appeared alongside football legend Peyton Manning but lost to Charles Barkley and Phil Mickelson. Mahomes also lost his first game as he was paired with Josh Allen and opponents Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady. It is quite ironic that Curry and Mahomes lost against legends of their respective sport. Now, both players have a chance to seek redemption and avenge their losses.
Will Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson succeed against the Super Bowl Champions?
Klay Thompson will be making his debut on the gold course while Stephen Curry has a lot of experience. Even though Thompson has never played or competed professionally, he has often shared posts of himself on the golf course on social media. It is safe to say that the three-point master has a trick or two up his sleeve. Unlike Klay, his counterpart Steph has played against professionals and competed against other golf enthusiasts before.
Stephen Curry competed in the American Century Championship golf tournament. This is an annual event conducted for celebrities of various fields to compete on the golf course. For Curry, it was his tenth appearance in the tournament and he was fairly good at what he did. Curry finished 16th in the entire tournament, two spots ahead of his father Dell while beating other legendary athletes and icons.
As smooth as his three-point stroke is, that’s as great a swing he can pull off. Patrick Mahomes was also present at the American Century Golf Tournament. The Super Bowl Champion was not as successful as Curry, finishing 51st in the tournament. But individuals have had fairly similar careers in their respective sports and their upcoming game in golf is expected to be highly competitive.
