Andrew Wiggins is one of the best players for the Golden State Warriors. However, he has missed 20 games so far for them, which has cost them heavily. Despite the Warriors in the playoff spots in the West, they must maintain the status quo on their league position. Nonetheless, whatever team the Warriors are handed in the first round it is going to be a tough one. As for the NBA fans, it will be an exciting finish in the Western Conference.

However, on First Take, JJ Reddick provided a damning assessment of the Warriors’ form this season. One of the crucial components missing from the Warriors is Wiggins. “I will say this they are not winning the West without Andrew Wiggins. He was too valuable for their team last season in their finals run, particularly in the Western Conference finals and the NBA finals,” Reddick claimed in the interview.

Wiggins has been absent for the Warriors due to a family issue, which has kept him away from basketball. However, the Warriors should not get their hopes up just yet after Steve Kerr provided a major update about Wiggins’ situation.

Fans are hopeful after a major update on Andrew Wiggins’ return

The Warriors fans will love the update provided by their head coach, Steve Kerr. Yesterday, Kerr provided a huge boost for the Warriors faithful after he talked about Wiggins’ conditioning. “He’s been working out every day,” Kerr said. “Beyond that, once he’s back, our training staff will be able to get with him and see where he is. He’s been training on his own,” Kerr added.

“Yeah there is hope, but indefinite is also appropriate, because we don’t know,” Kerr mentioned in the interview. Nonetheless, the fans are hopeful after getting an update on Wiggins, who is one of their best defenders. Some fans took to Twitter to share their optimism, with however little Kerr announced. “At least he’s working out. That’ Progress,” one fan shared his opinion about Wiggins’ situation.

Wiggins is amazing! To be working out and staying ready while dealing with difficult personal matters shows his commitment! He’s also a role model for being there for loved ones and being able to establish healthy boundaries

It is hard to overlook the contribution made by Wiggins in last season’s road to the NBA title. He was a monumental player for the Warriors, whose efforts made everything count. However, without him, the Warriors look out of depth on the defensive side of their game. Fans will be hoping that he returns as soon as possible. Nonetheless, the Warriors can only hope for him to return, and focus on keeping the most suitable playoff berth.
