NBA fans react to Ja Morant’s Powerade ads being pulled by Coca-Cola
For those who don’t know, Ja signed a deal with Powerade a few weeks ago. The brand’s rights belong to Coca-Cola, one of the most famous beverage companies in the world. It was a delight for fans to witness a young player taking such a huge step in his career. But that was until the NBA guard landed himself in trouble on multiple occasions.

Ja was accused of attacking a 17-year-old boy and punching him 12-13 times. Moreover, he flashed a gun at a club in Denver, further damaging his image and reputation. This was the last straw for Coca-Cola as it seems, as they have decided to drop Ja’s Powerade ads.

Social media got to his head. You have to be mature to be on here or it can influence you to make bad decisions 🤷🏼♂️

All of the player’s Powerade ads have been removed from their platforms and it shows that they have taken note of the recent controversies. Fans have also weighed in on this, as the news sparked a huge debate. One wrote, “This is so wrong on so many levels,” in support of Ja. Another user also came out in support of the player and wrote that he hadn’t done anything illegal.
On the other hand, another user claimed that social media was the reason for Ja’s choices. They claim that the 23-year-old has been influenced by the community to make bad decisions. This hasn’t been the first time that fans have called out the player for his choices off the court. When these reports came to light, many openly criticized Ja and mentioned that he was trying to ruin his career.
Whatever the case, Ja will have to deal with the consequences. He will remain on the sidelines as per reports and will continue to receive help as well.
