The Miami Heat made it to the 2023 NBA Finals after an entertaining and toiling Eastern Conference Finals. The Boston Celtics tied the series 3-3 after going down 3-0 initially. However, the Heat made it count in the series decider even without Tyler Herro. Caleb Martin and Jimmy Butler were the standout performers for the Heat, and the latter won the ECF MVP award.
The Heat has been having injury scares for the past few weeks now. Jimmy Butler suffered an ankle injury during the playoffs but he made sure to continue and play through it. It would be safe to claim that his grit was one of the reasons why the Heat was able to book a seat in the finals this year. Unfortunately for them, Tyler Herro could not play through his injury, but his return is still much-awaited.
Tyler Herro is expected to return for the 2023 NBA Finals
The Miami Heat left the NBA world baffled when they beat 1st seeded Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the 2023 playoffs. The Heat were 8th-seeded and barely made it through. During Game 1 of their series against Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. Tyler Herro suffered a freak injury. He broke his hand after diving for a loose ball towards the end of the second quarter.
The Heat later announced that Herro broke his right hand, and will be on the sidelines for quite some time. Despite his absence, they managed to beat the Bucks in 5 games (4-1).

Herro hasn’t played for the Heat in their series wins against the New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics as well. The American was one of the standout performers for his team this season. He averaged 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.2 assists during the regular season. It is quite obvious that the Heat is the missing Herro, but they have managed to slot in Gabe Vincent as well, although he has been facing injury scares too.
