Kim Kardashian has spoken out on the Brittney Griner situation. NBA fans must certainly be aware of the drama surrounding the arrest and eventual release of the WNBA star. To those who are still not aware, Phoenix Mercury Center was arrested for carrying marijuana vape Cartridges through a Russian airport.
Around 10 months later, she was exchanged in return for the Merchant of Death, a Russian Arms dealer. While many people were grateful and happy to have BG return home, Kim seized this moment to remind us about something else. We should certainly want to know what Kim Kardashian had to say on this subject. Additionally, we can understand how NBA fans have perceived it.
Kim Kardashian wants other Americans to be released like Brittney Griner was freed
Most of us certainly sympathize with Brittney’s plight and situation over the last year. However, it is important to remember that several other normal people have been imprisoned for the exact same crime. Moreover, most of the people are locked away in the United States, as opposed to a potentially hostile nation.
The Biden administration totally overlooked what Brittney Griner did in this entire process. In fact, they were even bold enough to claim that she was unjustly imprisoned. This has urged NBA fans to question whether all the Americans locked up back home are also unjustly imprisoned.
It is under this train of thought that Kim Kardashian reposted a message after Brittney Griner was eventually released, “If we can get Brittney Griner out of Russia for weed, surely we can free Americans, who are sitting in American prisons for the same thing.”

The majority of fans certainly seemed to agree with Kim’s assessment of the situation, “First thing I agreed with Kim on” and “They said ‘Britney was unjustly imprisoned’ for cannibus oil, but have Americans in prison for weed. Are they also unjustly imprisoned?”
There was also a group of people who took this chance to take a shot at Kim. They did so by reminding her about her own controversial past and holdings with companies that engaged in alleged pedophilia and child acting. Nonetheless, most of them seemed to be approving of her message.
Finally, we should wonder if it is really fair to release terrorists for WNBA players abusing drugs. Especially, when there are thousands of people back home that can be released from the same charges without an extravagant prisoner swap.
