After a terrific final at the NCAA women’s basketball, everybody in town is talking about the National champions. The game between the LSU Tigers and the Iowa Hawkeyes was an unexpected turn of events. However, the Tiger’s forward, Angel Reese has rubbed off some fans after her recent comments. Reese has been on the news since winning the championship, her actions during the game invited criticism, but it didn’t stop there.
First Lady, Jill Biden was present for the championship game between the two colleges and was thoroughly entertained. With the best interest at heart, she proposed the idea of inviting both teams to the White House. For reference, only the national champions receive the invitation to the White House. Hence, the proposal put forward by Jill Biden didn’t sit well with Reese.
Her comments in Colorado were intended to applaud the historic game and all women athletes. She looks forward to celebrating the LSU Tigers on their championship win at the White House.

At the beginning of the NCAA tournament, LSU was not favored to win the tournament by President, Joe Biden. Nevertheless, the Tigers have proven the president’s prediction wrong and have a championship to be proud of. The LSU Tigers emerged victorious against the Iowa Hawkeyes, 102-85.
Biden’s comment to invite the Hawkeyes was to celebrate the historic game between the two teams. The first lady admired how far women’s involvement in sports has come. It has been an amazing run for Reese and has been given due credit for it. However, she faces backlash from the fans after her comments about refusing the invite.
Fans torch Angel Reese after rejecting the proposal to visit the White House
Reese has been unapologetic about Jill Biden’s proposal and refuses to be part of the invite. “You said what you said, you can’t go back on certain things you sat I mean you felt like they should’ve come because of sportsmanship right? They can have that spotlight. We’ll go to the Obama’s We’ll see Michelle, We’ll see Barack,” Reese said.

The finals between the two colleges were one of the best games this season. However, Reese may be just putting herself in the line of fire after refusing the invitation to the White House and prefer visiting Barack and Michelle Obama. She has nothing to worry about now after winning the title and enjoying the win.
