Recently, Morant landed himself in hot water once again after allegedly flashing a gun during an Instagram live. This came after days after constant rumors of his arrest involving his physical altercation with the teenager.
Ja Morant issues statement after being suspended by the Memphis Grizzlies
The Memphis Grizzlies franchise announced recently that Ja will be suspended for two games minimum. This means fans will not see the player feature against the LA Clippers and LA Lakers.

Ja had not responded to any of the accusations in the last few days. His lawyers reiterated that the lawsuit was an attempted shakedown after the teenager’s mother allegedly demanded $20 million. However, after his suspension, Ja released a statement and issued an apology.

“I take full responsibility, for my actions last night. I’m sorry to my family, teammates, coaches, fans, partners, the city of Memphis, and the entire Grizzlies organization for letting you down. I’m going to take some time away to get help and work on learning better methods of dealing with stress and my overall well-being,” Ja said.

It would relieve Grizzlies fans to know that Ja takes full accountability for his actions after the controversy. His statement came after the NBA guard deactivated his Instagram and Twitter accounts, indicating that he is most likely to be away from the public eye for a while.

However, unlike rumors on Twitter suggest, Ja has not been arrested. He will be away from the court for some time but no charges have been filed against the player.
