Trae Young in Game 5 against the Boston Celtics was too cold to handle in the closing moments. The Atlanta Hawks live to see another day in the first round of the playoffs. All thanks to Young after an inspiring performance. Going into the game the Hawks were on the brink of elimination from the playoffs, as they came into the game 3-1. However, the Hawks’ fans will get to watch at least one more game before this season is over.
Young has acquired a nickname for himself as “Ice Trae,” for his 3-point shooting at clutch moments. Last night was one of those nights when he would get to do it against the Celtics, who are favorites in this series Nonetheless, Trae shot a clutch 3-pointer to take the lead with 1.8 seconds remaining on the clock. The fans were overjoyed with what they saw last night as they now travel back to Atlanta for Game 6.
After hitting the clutch 3-pointer to take the lead, Trae did his signature celebration, as he knew the game is over for the Celtics. The Hawks fans are no strangers to seeing their best player delivering clutch performances when they need it. Last night the fans witnessed yet another 38-point display and a clutch 3 to end the night. The fans took to Twitter to show their appreciation and one fan even compared him to Luka Doncic. “You don’t see luka doing this,” commented a fan.

Though the fans enjoyed the clutch 3-pointer from Trae, they took a subtle dig at Luka who failed to make it to the playoffs. However, that said it has been an unfortunate ending to the season for Luka. The Hawks now travel home, where they need to keep the series alive.
Can Trae Young inspire the Atlanta Hawks to an upset against the Boston Celtics at home?
Game 6 will be held at the home of the Hawks. With the Celtics needing 1 game to progress to the second round, the State Farm Arena will be a fortress. There will be a lot on the line and what better way for Young to keep his team in the tie at home? Young is averaging 26.8 points per game this series and another big performance will be required of him. The Hawks clawed their way back to beat the Celtics 119-117, with Young pitching in a 38-point game.
