Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors were favored by many to win the NBA Finals. However, the Boston Celtics have proved to be a challenge for “Splash-Bros“. Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and their reliable roster have stepped up and dominated the Warriors during the 4th quarter of the NBA finals.
The Warriors got limited production from Klay Thompson who averaged shabby numbers in the first two games. Therefore, Boston was able to steal game 1 on the road. They lost game 2. However, they bounced back and crushed the Warriors in game 3. Here is an explanation as to how Boston has changed the tide of the series.

The Boston Celtics are crushing The Golden State Warriors with their size
There have been two aspects of the finals that have emerged consistently so far. The Boston Celtics wreaking havoc in the interior is one of them. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are the two best players in the Celtics. They are clearly much bigger than the two veterans in Golden State. Additionally, they are also younger and seem to be much more agile.
Jaylen Brown and Al Horford dominated the 4th quarter of game 1. Brown quickly began chopping at the lead the Warriors built up in the third quarter. Golden State chose to ignore Al Horford during pivotal stretches. This was clearly a mistake as it led to him hitting timely, consecutive shots to give the Celtics the lead.
Game 2 was a different story. The Golden State Warriors built a massive lead and kept it, sailing to a comfortable win. The Celtics on the court during the final stretches were simply roleplayers and not the main stars. However, Derrick white, Payton Pritchard, and other Celtics players did manage to make a few shots.
With the series tied at 1-1, Game 3’s 4th quarter revealed that Boston was simply better down the stretch. They doubled the number of points the Warriors made in this quarter. Jayson Tatum, Marcus Smart, and Robert Willams dominated the end of this game with their play. The Celtics outscored the warriors, 23-11 in this game.
The Celtics seem to have made this a habit. They managed to outscore the Warriors in the 4th quarter of Game 2, 24-20. Finally, or rather, first of all, the Celtics crushed the Warriors in Game 1 outscoring them 40-16. If this trend continues, it looks like Jayson Tatum and his might just win their first championship in a decade.
