The Dallas Mavericks owner is the richest member of Shark Tank with a net worth of $4.6 billion, according to Forbes. However, the 74-year-old businesswoman mistook Cuban for a “Bell Boy.” She shared her experience with her followers.
The incident took place when she was in a rush to reach Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles. Cuban joined the show in the third season, during which the previous sharks were replaced by new ones.
In a TikTok video, she said, “When I jumped in the van, I see this guy sitting in the back seat and I was surprised because I always had the van to myself,” said Barbara. “I had three big pieces of luggage so I decided to ask him: ‘Hey, do you mind helping me put my luggage in the back of the van?’” continued Barbara.
Cuban helped her get the bag in the back of the van. On reaching the studio, Barbara asked if he could help her with the bags, to which Cuban said, “Yes, Ma’am.” Said, Barbara.
When Barbara reached the set of the show and realized that Mark is her new co-star. “I look at the guy next to me, and it’s the luggage guy sitting in the seat next to me,” said Barbara. She asked him what is he doing here to which Cuban replied, “I’m Mark Cuban. Nice to meet you,” Barbara said.

The Mavericks is a $3.3 billion asset, however, Cuban is not the outright owner of the franchise. He owns 85% of the team, which means, his share in the team is valued at $3 billion. This is also arguably the majority part of Cuban’s net worth in 2023. Under his leadership, they reached the NBA finals twice and won in 2011. This season, the Mavs are strong contenders for the title, after Cuban splashed the cash for Kyrie Irving.
