Stephen Curry is one of the best point guards in the league. He is a wonderful teammate and an even better basketball player. Steph has been a loyal point guard to the Golden State Warriors. He has stuck with them since his rookie year. The point guard finished the 2021 season with 32 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game. Curry however has not signed his player extension with the Warriors yet. Will he stay or will he leave?
Stephen Curry: The Golden State Warriors MVP
Stephen Curry is easily one of the greatest Warriors of all time. He is loved by coach Kerr and has found brotherhood with Klay Thompson. It will be hard to see Curry in another jersey if he ever decides to leave.
With the Golden State Warriors, Curry has brought the team three NBA Championships. He is also a 2 time NBA MVP and a two-time NBA Scoring Champion. Steph has broken records like it was as easy as tearing a piece of paper. Every time Curry has the ball you can count on watching a beautiful sequence of basketball. Curry has now created a Legacy with the Golden State Warriors and we can only hope he completes his career with the same team that brought him into the league.

The $59 Million reason why Stephen Curry has not signed his extension yet
Stephen Curry signed a five-year deal in July 2017. He now has to decide if he wants to sign a contract extension with the warriors in about two weeks.
The 33-year-old has an extremely strong bond with the Golden State Warriors. Curry may have another season left in his old contract but there will be many teams waiting to see if he signs the extension or not. The new deal will give him four years worth $215 Million. The deal has the same terms as his previous three-year contract that was offered to him last year. The only difference is the fourth year is valued at $59.6 million.
Stephen Curry has not signed the extension yet.

Bob Myers the general manager spoke recently on Curry’s future with the team. Of course, there has been a lot of talk about LeBron and Curry teaming up to end their careers on the same team. But Bob gave a very simple explanation about the contract.
People listening may not realize the COVID stuff and dealing with that stuff was so unique. We just very congenially said, ‘Let’s talk about it next season.’ In his mind, the length matters. It wasn’t contentious. Nobody was upset. It was just, ‘Hey, let’s talk about this at the end of next season.’ And I think that probably meant everybody feels good about the situation. No one was feeling badly about it.
Amidst all the rumours and talk going around, no one can actually say anything other than Stephen Curry. So far he has not expressed any desire to leave the Warriors and he will most probably sign the extension and look to finish as Warrior.
