Has Buddy Hield actually achieved something that NBA legends like Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry would aspire to do? As fans are aware, Hield is an NBA star currently with the Indiana Pacers. He is best known for his three-point shooting, something that is valued highly in today’s NBA.
While he certainly doesn’t hold his own against someone like Stephen Curry in terms of shooting, Hield is still a solid and reliable player in this league. With that being said, let us take a deeper look at the Buddy Hield star that even the Slim Reaper and Chef Curry would struggle to accomplish.
Buddy Hield has missed fewer games in his NBA career than Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry combined
Kevin Durant is considered by many to be one of the best offensive players in the league. However, as we all know, he spent a significant amount of his prime rehabilitating his Achilles injury after the 2019 NBA Finals. He has also strained his knees and MCL. Moreover, he even had surgery on his foot earlier in his career.
Stephen Curry didn’t come into the league as we know him today. He missed a lot of time and underwent difficulties due to multiple ankle injuries. They were so bad that rumors were in the air that the Warriors were looking to move him at the time.
NBA fans will know that LeBron James once held the title for being the most durable player in the league. However, even he, along with these other big NBA stars has not been available for games, especially towards the backend of his career with the Lakers.
None of these problems have happened to the Indiana Pacers star Buddy Hield. He can’t be considered a newbie in the league and is 30 years old, having entered it in the 2016 NBA Draft. However, in all of these years, he hasn’t really been injured and missed only 3 games throughout his whole career.
Buddy Hield has only missed a total of 3 games throughout his NBA career…

These are numbers that Durant, Curry, and even LeBron James would struggle to accomplish. The only explanation we can find for how Hield managed to do so is that his game relies on catch-and-shoot three-pointers. They require less movement and contact when compared to other basketball moves. Since he specializes as a shooter, he has been able to avoid significant injury in his professional career.
