Donovan Mitchell who goes by his nickname, Spida is a shooting guard for the Utah Jazz. The Jazz went up against the Brooklyn Nets. This was a comeback game for Mitchell. The guard was returning from an injury and was the star of tonight’s game. Mitchell suffered a concussion against the Los Angeles Lakers on January 17th. The recovery was very hard but Spida fought and he fought hard.
In 27 minutes, Donovan Mitchell put up 22 points shooting 80% from the field. the Jazz handed the Brooklyn Nets their seventh straight loss which is a season-high losing streak. However, a lot of rumors surrounding a trade for Mitchell have sprung up. There might be multiple reasons behind why this could be a possibility.
Donovan Mitchell might look to be traded because of tension with Rudy Gobert
According to sources, Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert have once again gone against each other. The power that Jazz will have with these two stars playing together will be incredible. With Spida’a offensive creativity and Gobert’s defensive plays, the duo can be as capable as many big three. However, the duo has a lot of tension going on between them.
According to the discussion between Brian Windhorst and Tim MacMahon, the duo is being passive-aggressive with each other and it is awkward more than anything else. This tension between the players has led to a number of trade rumors for the shooting guard. However, Spida denied any beef between him and Gobert

The tension between the two-player started during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Donovan Mitchell was unhappy with how carless and immature Rudy Gobert was in regard to the Virus. Gobert was the first player who tested positive and he also mocked the virus right before the incident. Donovan went on to test positive three days later.

Joe Ingles shares his thoughts on the trade rumors
According to Utah Jazz star, Joe Ingles, Donovan Mitchell will not want to leave the Utah Jazz team. The Jazz is currently 4th seed in the West with a 32-21 record. Mitchell has been the driving force for the team.
I don’t think Donovan wants to leave. We see him every day, and he loves where he’s at, he loves our team. If they were … around us every day and heard him say he wants to leave, that’s completely different. But they’re not.”
Many questions are being asked on whether Donovan Mitchell is too big for Utah Jazz. The truth is Joe Ingles might be right, Mitchell will look to give back to Utah and the fans. As for his beef with Gobert, the news has come from the man’s mouth, there is nothing going on between them.
