The Los Angeles Lakers have revamped their entire squad after moving Russell Westbrook. However, new information has come up regarding Anthony Davis‘ future with the Lakers. This is a huge topic as the big man is a crucial player in the Lakers system. However, there are sources of Colin Cowherd, who believe that Davis could be on his way out after LeBron James isn’t happy with him.
Dallas Mavericks swooped up Kyrie Irving after LeBron openly led a campaign to get Kyrie to the Lakers. The Mavs needed a player to partner up with Luka Doncic, and they did get one. This left LeBron unfazed after the Lakers failed to come to terms with the Nets. With the sudden tension between the two stars at Lakers, we can be sure who could be shown the door. We have seen James playing a huge role in the team’s trade strategies. Which is a cause of concern for Davis.
Hey @ColinCowherd,
Looks like Bron and AD really couldn’t stand each other last night! Oh man, what will the Lakers ever do — look at all this tension between them 😳 pic.twitter.com/fi1Pec8mSL

When LeBron James broke NBAs All-Time leading scorer record, a clip of Davis went viral. Unlike the rest of the team, Davis could be seen sitting on the bench sulking during the celebration. However, when he was asked about his reaction, he said that he wasn’t happy with the team’s position in the game. “I was pissed off that we were losing…It’s nothing [that] had to do with Bron, he knows that.” said, Davis.
Will Anthony Davis leave the Los Angeles Lakers in the summer?
Despite the Lakers shifting most of their players in this trade, it is a new look for the purple and gold. However, the trades are not necessarily making the team a title contender this season. LeBron made his wishes clear when Kyrie Irving requested a trade out of the Nets. Nonetheless, Kyrie is now with the Mavs. As we know LeBron James is the only player who got the most out of Kyrie when they played together in the Cavaliers.
“I talked to an NBA source who I’ve known for a long time, he said the Dallas Mavericks and Anthony Davis, keep your eye on it…Anthony Davis is pouting, LeBron’s holding him accountable, LeBron’s not happy with him.”

We cannot rule out the possibility that Davis won’t leave the Lakers. Davis after the Lakers’ championship season, has faced health concerns. This has led LeBron to play more minutes at the age of 38, and cannot rely on Davis for a full season. However, if James is truly unhappy, we could see Davis get traded this summer. The Mavs are worst in rebounds and at protecting the rim, hence, trading in Davis is a sound option but will have to give up significant value for him.
