Brittney Griner is back home and enjoying her time back home. The 8x WNBA All-Star was imprisoned for 10 months for smuggling drugs. The Olympic gold medalist is with her family and her wife Cherelle Griner. Many hope that she will be back on the big stage and she has decided that she will.
Griner has played basketball at the highest stage and with her back home The question of her return to the court cannot be ruled out. Brittney Griner spend 10 months without a ball in her hand and even when she received the chance she didn’t. She will, however, be going to train a lot before she is back to full strength. It will be exciting if Griner will hit the court.
When BG returned home she was held at Fort Sam Houston. It is a US army post in San Antonio, Texas. She underwent a medical checkup for any infection she might have been exposed to. The first thing Griner did when she returned home was to dunk a basketball. We hope that BG is back to her best and continue to dominate the WNBA.
Will Brittney Griner play again in the WNBA?
The question of whether Griner will return to action on the court is still on the minds of many fans. Her agent Lindsay Kagawa Colas spoke about her return. It will, however, be Brittney’s decision to make it herself. BG has averaged 20.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 2.7 assists, for the Phoenix Mercury since joining them in 2013.
“If she wants to play, it will be for her to share. She has the holidays to rest and decide what’s next without any pressure,” Colas told Quinn. “She’s doing really, really well. She seems to have endured this in pretty incredible ways.” said Kagawa Colas told ESPN’s, T.J. Quinn. Griner, however, has spoken on her return to the WNBA. She announced her return on her Instagram account.

Brittney is one of the top WNBA athletes and not many can call themselves an Olympic gold medallist. The news of her making a return to the Phoenix Mercury to get back in the WNBA would’ve certainly excited the fans. It will be a long road for her to be back for the team, as she’s been away from the action for quite an extensive period.
