The Los Angeles Lakers legend the Late Kobe Bryant, is one of the best shooting guards in the history of the sport. Haily is one of the students to be mentored by the 18x All-Star, and she owes it to Kobe for where she is today. Besides teaching her the game of basketball, he also boosted her confidence on and off the court. Haily comes from Cashmere, Washington, and dedicated her life to the sport.
Cashmere High School honored Bryant in a girl’s basketball game. The MVP, 2 weeks before his accident attended Hailey’s basketball game to show his support. Hailey had been training for months under the NBA legend. She is also familiar with his daughter Gianna, who unfortunately passed away with Kobe.

In an interview, she explained how she got to know him, and how she got in touch with him. According to the Los Angeles Times, “The text was from one of Kobe’s main guys — I called him ‘T,’ and he just basically said that Kobe knew about me, loved my game and really wanted to get me to L.A. to work with him and talk about basketball,” said Hailey in a telephonic interview.
Hailey during her high school years averaged 24.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 4.3 assists, and led her team to the Class 1A state title. Hailey joined the University of Louisville, where she improved her game and averaged 34.4 points, 4.9 assists, 8.3 rebounds, and 5.2 steals. She even scored more than 2,000 points in her junior season.

The Cardinals will be taking on the Boston College Eagles on Thursday night. In the last game, Hailey dropped 29 points, in the loss against Virginia Tech, 81-79.
