The Milwaukee Bucks are the hottest team in the NBA right now, and nobody seems to be better than them. This season, the Bucks started at a lightning pace, and take a commanding lead at the start of the season. However, they fell off a bit, but the Bucks are now marching ahead of the Boston Celtics. The Celtics have led the Eastern Conference for a long time this season than the Bucks. However, the Bucks are back to how they started this season, and even better.
In the NBA there have been moments that define the season. However, at the moment it is LeBron James who broke the NBA All-Time leading scorer, after almost 40 years. Records are meant to be broken, and it looks like the Bucks are on their way to doing just that. In the history of the NBA, the class of 1972 of the Los Angeles Lakers holds the longest winning streak in the NBA. That season one of the most successful teams in the NBA went undefeated in 33 games.

During the 1972 season, the Lakers beat their opponents by an average of 16 points. Since then the record has stood proudly for 51 years. The only other team to come close to breaking the record was the Golden State Warriors in the 2015-16 season. Stephen Curry and the Warriors came close to a 28-game winning streak. LeBron James with the Miami Heat reached a 27-game winning streak, that’s how close they came to breaking the record.

Interestingly, both the 2 longest win streaks came to an end at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks. In 1972, it was Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s Bucks who broke the Lakers’ 33-game win streak. In 2016, it was Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Bucks who put on a triple-double performance to break their 28-game winning streak.
Can the Milwaukee Bucks break the Los Angeles Lakers’ record in NBA with 34 wins?
This season, the Bucks have shown character after going 16 games undefeated in the NBA. They are probably one of the best teams in the NBA and dominate all the areas of the court. In their last game against the Orlando Magic, they made 26 3-point plays. The Bucks have the Greek Freak to dominate the paint and is averaging 31.3 points per game, and he rarely makes 3-point plays.

The Milwaukee Bucks have a chance of breaking the record this season, with a 16-game win streak, they need 4 wins to break the longest win streak in their franchise. We cannot rule out that the Bucks can take their win streak higher. They certainly have the talent and depth to keep their hot streak going. Nonetheless, the record stood for 51 years, it will be interesting to see if Giannis and the Bucks can break the record.
