Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks danced with the Detroit Pistons at the American Airlines Center. It was a routine win for the Mavs and a routine 50-point game from the Slovenian. El Matador as usual let his game do the talking, however, he didn’t stop there this time. Luka went after Detroit Pistons’ assistant coach, Jerome Allen, and Isiah Livers.
Luka Doncic is just 23 and is putting up a sensational season with the Mavs. He is being compared to all the greats this season, from LeBron James to Michael Jordan. The Slovenian ended the first quarter with 24 points. Luka riles up his opponents sometimes, this time he did so with Jerome Allen.
The Pistons were a lovely team to go up against as Luka is not 100% fit, and it benefitted them. Despite this, the Mavericks closed the game with a close score of 111-105. This 50-point performance from Luka is yet another statement performance to solidify his MVP candidature. This is the second-highest-scoring game of his career, a month after scoring his career high, 60 points.
Jerome and Doncic exchanged words in the first quarter and to sum it all up, It wasn’t a nice end to the game for Allen. Luka ended the game with a 53-point performance complemented by 5 assists and 8 rebounds. Doncic piled up on the misery of the Pistons this season, who are rock bottom of the Eastern Conference.
What did Luka Doncic say to Isiah Livers and Jerome Allen?
Luka Doncic after the game had some comments on the words exchanged with Pistons‘ assistant coach, Allen. “It was their assistant coach. He started chirping in the first quarter. They didn’t like when I chirped back. They said, ‘Play basketball’. If they’re going to chirp at me, I’m going to chirp back. I ain’t scared.” Said Doncic.
“They didn’t like when I chirped back… if they’re gonna chirp at me, I’m gonna chirp back. I ain’t scared.”

With the last 8 seconds remaining on the clock Allen and Doncic went back at each other again. Dallas led the Pistons 111-105 when Doncic decided to chirp back at Allen. However, Isiah Livers tried coming in between the two and things didn’t go well for him either. Luka told Livers, “who are you?” when he tried to come in between.

Last night is yet another statement for the Mavericks that they need to bring somebody in to support Doncic. Despite Luka taking the game single-handedly for the Mavs, the next highest scorer for the Mavs was Spencer Dinwiddie. He was the only other player to score in double digits, with 12 points for the Mavericks.
