Who Is Derek Fisher, Former Los Angeles Lakers Player Vanessa Bryant Is Rumored to Be Dating?

Some people across the internet have spread gossip that Derek Fisher, a former NBA player was rumored to be dating Vanessa Bryant, wife of the late Kobe Bryant. Fans will remember that Fisher was a Los Angeles Lakers player much like Kobe Bryant.

While this certainly makes rumors of Derek having a relationship with Vanessa quite dark, even after the death of the Black Mamba, NBA fans should want to know how much truth there is to this gossip and why these rumors even formed in the first place. With that being said, let us take a closer look at the life of Derek Fisher.

Derek Fisher and Vaness Bryant were spotted together at the 2021 WNBA All-Star game

It appears that all eyes have been focused on Derek Fisher after he was found sitting next to Vanessa Bryant and talking to her during the 2021 WNBA All-Star game held in Las Vegas, While this seemed to be nothing more than a harmless interaction, the media theorized that they could potentially be in a relationship.

Derek Fisher won 5 NBA titles with the Los Angeles Lakers. Therefore, that would mean he was teammates with Shaquille O’Neal and more importantly, Kobe Bryant for the 5 NBA titles won in Los Angeles between 1999-2010. Fisher averaged 8.3 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 3 assists.

These are somewhat unimpressive numbers considering that he was listed as 6’1 and played the point guard position. At his best, he averaged around 11 points and 4 rebounds. Nonetheless, he had a full career in the league and played for 17 years in the league.

Fisher got married to a woman named Gloria Govan in 2021. She also happened to be an actress in Basketball Wives, a popular Reality TV show in Los Angeles. Despite already being in a committed relationship, fans heavily scrutinized Derek for simply having a public discussion with her during a WNBA event.

While this certainly wasn’t enough evidence to question both of them, theories have persisted on the internet for the last few years indicating that something happened between Derek and Vanessa.
