UFC President Dana White will be glad that the media is no longer hounding him. However, unlike the media, fans have a tendency to remember things. Unfortunately, White’s little debacle from earlier in the year is still fresh in some people’s minds.
Currently, the UFC is making its return to Singapore with a Max Holloway vs. Korean Zombie headliner. A rather stacked Fight Night card, the event has garnered a lot of attention from fans all over the world. As for the UFC head honcho, he’s elected to stay back in the States for this one.

However, being a fight fan at heart, White couldn’t help but tune into the event. As such, Dana decided to go live on Instagram whilst watching the event from home. Unfortunately for the UFC boss, some fans were not too nice, with one fan also asking about his wife. Although it was early hours for him, White was quick to deal with the comment saying, “My wife is fine, wise a**”. Clearly, the comment was a jibe at Dana’s altercation with his wife earlier this year.
In another instance, a fan also tried to make a ‘your mom’ joke in the comments. Fortunately for Dana, he seems all too familiar with the trolls and has developed a knack for dealing with them over time. Having been in the fight game for decades now, the 54-year-old has seen and been through it all.
Why did Dana White slap his wife, Anne White?
On New Year’s Eve of 2023, Dana got into a physical altercation with his wife, Anne White. The couple was spotted at a club in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, during their vacation. According to reports and eyewitnesses, the couple was under the influence and suddenly got into a fight.
Most notably, Dana’s wife was seen attacking him to which the UFC boss retaliated with a slap of his own. Eventually, onlookers and fellow party-goers stepped in to break the scuffle. However, the media was quick on the scene with videos of the fight posted by every major news publication within a matter of hours.

Naturally, it was a very bad look for the UFC President who was quick to release a statement. Instead of making any excuses, Dana took it on the chin and shouldered all responsibility for the debacle. Unfortunately for White, the debacle allowed people to further dig up incriminating stories from White’s past. To make matters worse, the ordeal occurred just ahead of the airing of Dana’s controversial Power Slap League.
As such, it led to relentless trolling and people asking for White to resign from the UFC. At one point, it appeared as though Dana even had a successor in mind and was all but expecting to get cut. However, the hierarchy entrusted Dana to bring himself out of the mud. Over time, White gradually began appearing for UFC events and for a while, it seemed as though the worst was behind him. Thus, despite the sly jab from the fan, Dana likely won’t be as hassled by the situation anymore.
