Taylor Swift has been at the top of the music scene for a very long time. Most of her fans remember all the iconic songs that she released over the years. Some of them were “Love Story”,” You Belong to Me”, and her first single “Tim McGraw” which debuted in 2006. Time flies by when legends take the stage. It was almost the same for NBA legend Kobe Bryant as well. He spent 20 years in the league, some of the NBA’s best times.
Taylor Swift has taken the stage several times in his 17-year-long career. She’s won multiple Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, Billboard Awards, MTV Awards, Teen and Kids Choice Awards, Brit Awards, and many more. However, one moment at the Crypto.com Arena (formerly known as Staples Center) probably went down in her career’s history books. During one of her concerts in LA, Kobe honored her with a championship banner for the most sold-out shows at the stadium.
In 2015 Kobe Bryant presented Taylor Swift with her ‘championship’ banner for most sold out shows at Staples Center.

Eight years later, Taylor Swift honored her late friend by gifting his daughter Bianka, her “22” hat during her performance. She also shared an embrace with six year old. Her mother, Vanessa Bryant shared a post on Instagram captioning it, “We love you @taylorswift.” The Bryant family seemed to have had a wonderful time in LA at Taylor’s Eras Tour Concert.
Kobe Bryant claimed Taylor Swift possesses a “killer instinct” that drives her success
When it comes to Kobe Bryant, he was known for having a drive that nobody seemed to comprehend. The Los Angeles Lakers legend was known for working the hardest among his peers. And if he was impressed with your work, you knew you were doing something right. Similarly, his presence and work ethic inspired several generations of athletes after he turned pro. He recognized the same drive in Taylor Swift as well.
During an interview on the Jordan Harbinger Show, he said, “It’s a lot of pressure for her to follow up a number one album with a better than follow up with a better. I don’t care if you like her music or you don’t like her music. Look at what she is doing and that is frightening stuff and it’s unbelievable to be able to pull that off over and over and over. You can’t have that level of consistent success and not be a killer, it’s impossible.”
Vanessa also honored her late husband during the “Eras” Concert in LA by wearing a denim jacket that had a picture of him and Taylor Swift from their interaction in 2015. Swift acknowledging the Bryant family and extending her support to them certainly means they share a good bond. This interaction also left fans emotional on social media as well.
