An Instagram user has done some digging and managed to find some extremely old photos of a young Ja Morant. It seems to have caught the NBA world off guard as many have taken to Twitter to react to it.

In these screenshots, a young Ja Morant can be seen hilariously posing for images that many have described as “Corny.” What’s interesting is that he has also gone for some questionable captions for these images, including “I be high af.”

This led a fan to reply, “Bro been a fake gangster since young” indicating that Ja has been the same way for a while now. For some context, many have branded the Memphis Grizzlies superstar a “fake thug” after his involvement in recent controversies. While many have questioned these images and drawn the link to ongoing events, some have come to Ja’s defense as well.
A fan questioned why people were trying to pull down the Grizzlies guard in light of past events. Whatever the case, these images of Ja look harmless and there isn’t much context behind them for fans to hate on the player.
When will Ja Morant return for the Memphis Grizzlies?
The Grizzlies franchise suspended the 23-year-old for a minimum of two games recently. The suspension came after Morant flashed a gun on social media. Many even brought up the question if he carried the firearm on the plane to Denver, Colorado. If that was the case, the NBA would have had to suspend Morant for a total of 50 games, meaning he could have surely missed the rest of this season.

The Colorado police department then announced that there wasn’t enough evidence to conclude that Ja carried the gun on the plane. This meant the player would not have any charges against him. However, Adam Silver still suspended Morant for a total of 8 games. The statement said that Ja’s conduct was “Detrimental to the league.”
Morant realizes the mistake he made and even admitted that he let his parents down. It certainly looks like he will be back stronger soon. The young player even mentioned that the target will be to help the Grizzlies fight for the NBA championship this season.
