The finals of the FIFA World Cup 2022 will go down in history as one of the greatest finals of all time. Argentina and France were inseparable up until the penalty shoot-outs. Argentina was dominant in the first half, not allowing the French to have the ball. Kylian Mbappe was arguably the best player for the French national team. Mbappe led the French resurgence in the 2nd half. It was a historic moment for all engaged in the finals.
Brooklyn Nets owner Joseph Tsai took to Twitter to congratulate the Argentinian side, on winning their 3rd World Cup. However, he also had a rather disrespectful comment about the French side. In his tweet, he wrote, “France got Whammied”.
Mr. Whammy is a Nets Superfan and has been in attendance for the Nets games for 18 years. Fans around the world were not too happy with the Nets owner’s comment about France’s defeat. Some even took to Twitter to remind him where he should focus, his own franchise.

Still funny to know people can’t appreciate a good win, still need to humiliate the loosing team. And at the same time proving they know little about a sport.

Lionel Messi won his first World Cup with his national side, an accolade that has evaded him his entire career. Argentinian fans all over the world will be rejoicing in the win, especially Leo.
The French side has the world’s respect, especially that man Kylian Mbappe, who scored an astonishing game turning hattrick to keep his team’s hopes alive. Maybe LeBron saw it coming, saying first, that two of the greatest will be playing tonight.
Joe Tsai reminds NBA fans about Mr. Whammy with his statement on France
Joe Tsai with his tweet reminded the NBA fans about ‘Mr. Whammy’. Bruce Reznick, popularly known as Mr. Whammy, is the Brooklyn Nets’ most famous fan. He has a reputation for interfering with opposing players taking a free throw. He was even banned from his position under the basket.
It was in 2017 when the Philadelphia 76ers got free-throw, and someone from the first row kept saying, “Miss, Miss, Miss, Miss.” The Sixers were not even close to making a shot and this fan already started his antics.
“The number one Brooklyn Nets fans in the world. Not in America. Not just in New York City. In the world.”

Bruce and his wife Judy have always been vocal in games. Judy calls out, “Defense!”, while her husband is a nightmare where the opponents get a free throw. Bruce has not always been called ‘Mr. Whammy’, was known as ‘Red Shirt’. Needless to say, while made in pure aggression as quite possibly an Argentina fan, Joe Tsai’s comment did not go down well with the fans.
