WWE Superstar Ronda Rousey has amassed several accolades since arriving in WWE. She recently added another feather to her cap on the latest episode of WWE Raw. The Baddest Woman on the Planet, alongside Shayna Baszler, was part of a Fatal Four Way tag team match for the vacant Women’s Tag Team Titles. They emerged victorious after she submitted Shotzi.
The titles were vacated a few weeks ago when former champion Liv Morgan was injured during a match against Damage CTRL. Rousey and Baszler attacked Raquel Rodriguez and demanded a title match. The bout saw Rousey & Baszler, Damage CTRL, Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville, and Rodriguez & Shotzi vie for the title. Following the bout, while speaking to the New York Post, Rousey called out the women’s division in WWE for being “dismally shallow.”

“Well, the lack of competition is really the problem,” Rousey said. “I mean, we want to be the most active champions out there. I want to be able to defend this title every week and even twice a week on both ‘SmackDown’ and ‘Raw.’ But with how dismally shallow the women’s division is right now, there are not enough women around here to keep us busy for a month. And so that’s the biggest challenge that we have is to get this company to actually care and invest into this tag division.”
Rousey also stated during her hiatus from the company from 2019 until her return in 2022, the women’s division in the company was “stripped clean” of talent. She seemingly hinted at the massive releases during the COVID-19 pandemic and the lack of hiring in recent months.
Fans called out Ronda Rousey for her comments on WWE’s women’s division
The WWE Universe did not take too kindly to the comments made by Ronda Rousey, who is now a Triple Crown Champion following her tag team title win. Several fans were of the opinion that her words were unfounded as there are hardly any dedicated tag teams in the women’s divisions around the world.
Another fan was also miffed and suggested that Rousey should leave and let someone else have the titles. According to the general consensus, it seems that Rousey’s comments have not gone well.
Then leave and let someone leave have the titles

I am not sure what else WWE can do. There aren’t that many dedicated female tag teams in wrestling. Where will they find any teams? Bring back Iiconis or the old Bellas?

There is only like maybe 8 good women wrestlers on earth so good luck with that… They should be happy with what they are already getting. Which is only because of woke modern society

All of pro wrasslin’ is “dismally shallow.” It’s a feature, not a bug.

It remains to be seen how long Rousey and Baszler will be the tag team champions. They have been a dominant team since joining forces earlier this year, and it seems that their reign of terror is set to extend to the rest of the roster. It will be interesting to see who will challenge them first for the titles.
With the addition of two new teams to the main roster, including NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Isla Dawn & Alba Fyre and Katana Chance & Kayden Carter, it is possible that Rousey will face some stiff competition for the titles.
