Previously, AEW Superstar Sting announced his retirement next year, and there were rumors that Sting would be receiving a historic gift from Tony Khan. With that, Ric Flair arrived in AEW, and thus it can be understood that Flair’s arrival in the Tony Khan-led promotion is the boss’ gift to Sting.
Ric Flair received a huge reaction from the audience upon his arrival at AEW. Fans were thrilled to witness ‘The Nature Boy’ stepping foot in WWE’s rival promotion. Several fans took to their social media handles to comment on Flair’s arrival in AEW. Many stated that it came as a shock to them. Meanwhile, some of them seemed worried about Ric Flair’s daughter, Charlotte Flair’s future in WWE. One fan wrote, “Charlotte about to get buried fr lol”.

What happened when Ric Flair arrived in AEW?

Following that, Flair talked about getting an invitation to be a part of AEW. He stated that he was excited about the opportunity to get along with Sting for a little longer. As things were going smoothly, suddenly Christian Cage, along with Luchasaurus and Wayne, arrived.
Cage then went on to pass remarks on Flair, and afterward, he addressed Darby Allin and Sting. Cage then challenged them to a match at Full Gear 2023. With that, Sting and Allin accepted the challenge. Thus, at the Full Gear PPV event, a Six-Man Tag Team Match will take place between Christian Cage, Luchasaurus, Nick Wayne vs. Sting, Darby Allin, and someone of their choice.
