Hasbulla, one of the most popular internet celebrities to be associated with the world of UFC and MMA, has recently been arrested! The 20-year-old, along with some of his friends, was arrested and has been charged with administrative violations. After Deontay Wilder and Tony Ferguson, it marks the third time when a combat sports personality has been arrested recently.
Ironically, all three arrests were due to traffic violations. According to a report from Red Corner MMA, Hasbulla was out with a few of his friends in Khabib Nurmagomedov’s home country of Dagestan. They claim to be celebrating another friend’s wedding on the streets. In a video, Hasbulla can be seen inside a white vehicle, followed by some vehicles performing stunts on the road and seemingly racing.

The footage also featured a shot of Hasbulla’s white vehicle having a massive dent on the side. it was likely caused due to the stunts they were performing on the road. The video ended with Hasbulla and six of his friends seemingly facing the authorities. However, it does not seem like they spent a lot of time in custody as the social media superstar issued a statement on the matter on his Instagram account.
Hasbulla breaks silence on his arrest in Dagestan
Hasbulla Magomedov posted an image of himself along with his friends in front of the officers in Dagestan. In an Instagram story, he wrote, “We decided a little hype, black hype is also hype. This won’t happen again folks….sorry… Played a little had to answer.” (translated via Google)
The Islam Makhachev ally also noted that he was not the person behind the wheels at the time of the incident.
Hasbulla has not been the most popular figure amongst the fan base in recent times. He is known for his childlike appearance and boyish charm. From collaborating with boxing legend Mike Tyson to NBA behemoth Shaquille O’Neal, the social media influencer has gained over 8.5 million followers on his Instagram account alone.
However, recently, a video surfaced which showed him hitting his pet cat. While Hasbulla denies the claims of ill intent, the video generated a massive amount of backlash.
It even prompted UFC lightweight star Dan Hooker to call for Hasbulla’s cancelation. While it does not seem like anybody was harmed during the incident, the Dagestani police still took him into custody for breaking the country’s law. It will be interesting to see if it affects his partnership with the UFC in any way. Hasbulla initially rose to fame due to his impersonation of Khabib Nurmagomedov.
However, his popularity went through the roof due to his on-and-off feud with fellow influencer, Abdu Rozik. As for the reason behind his appearance, Hasbulla suffers from GHD (Growth Hormone Deficiency), which is a rare form of dwarfism. It stunned his height to 3’4. Recently UFC bantamweight fighter, Sean O’Malley also speculated whether his condition also affects his brain or not.
