Mike Breeden let out his inner dog to turn the tables on Anshul Jubli. After coming off 4 consecutive losses, Money is back in the winning column despite being a heavy underdog. The 34-year-old failed to make weight for his fight and also seemed to have a pre-existing injury over his eye.
Anshul Jubli was very much in control of the match through the starting rounds. The Indian fighter displayed that he had sound striking skills and managed to land some solid strikes on his opponent. By the end of the second round, Breeden was behind on the scorecards and also had a gnarly cut above his eye.
Daniel Cormier who was commentating on the fight also pointed out that Jubli’s striking worsened the cut above Mike’s eye. However, this only seemed to further motivate the veteran. Mike was not allowing Jubli to cruise to victory and gave it his everything in the third.

Money started landing more shots and yelling USA in Anshul’s face as he landed some heavy bombs. Mike also fended off Anshul’s takedown attempts very easily and broke down his opponent’s morale with his energy. After landing some huge shots, Breeden maintained pressure and kept barking in Anshul’s face.
The 28-year-old finally succumbed to Money and was dropped to the canvas. Mike Breeden knocked out Anshul Jubli in the third round of their fight making a huge comeback. While Mike’s energy in the last round was crucial to his win, he believes that winning the mental game was of utmost importance.
Mike Breeden believes his bark affected Anshul Jubli
Mike Breeden managed to secure his first win in UFC after finishing the Indian fighter in his debut. Anshul Jubli walked undefeated inside the Etihad Arena to finish his opponent and make a hefty check. However, it was not Anshul’s day as he was dropped to the canvas in the third round of his fight.
Breeden withstood an early storm from Anshul and gradually gained control of the fight. While the American fighter was behind on cards until the second round, he managed to make up for it in the third. Mike played mental games on Jubli and started yelling in his face.
This supposedly froze the debutant as he was confused by Mike’s approach. Money himself believes that the barking got to his opponent’s head which provided him with a huge edge in the last round. “Yeah man, I just had to get in his head cuz like this is what I do. I’m not a very fast fighter but as the fight goes deeper they drown and I’m a dog” said the 11-6 fighter.
He also addressed the fact that his journey in UFC has not been good but he considers himself one of the best. After his win over Anshul, Breeden might have saved himself from being removed by UFC. With his feet settled after his first win, fans will have a lot more to witness from Mike in his upcoming fights.
