The Golden State Warriors have been performing much better than how the NBA world expected them to. It is quite evident that Stephen Curry was their best player this season. It wouldn’t be a mistake to claim that they were caught relying on him too much sometimes. Unfortunately for the Warriors, The Chef faced a shoulder injury and is currently out for a significant amount of time.
Despite this, the Warriors have fought their way through their opponents in recent games. Since Steph’s last appearance against the Indians Pacers on December 14, 2022, GSW has a record of 6-3. That also includes a 5-game winning streak that they added to the last game against the Atlanta Hawks.
Apart from the fact that they left it late to beat Trae Young and Co, another instance caught the eyes of the NBA world. The clip of Draymond Green‘s pass to Klay Thompson seems to be the talk of the town.
NBA fans react to Draymond Green’s invisible pass to Klay Thompson against the Atlanta Hawks
In the first quarter, Donte DiVincenzo passed the ball to Dray. As Klay got to his right, DG provided the screen against Hawks’ DeAndre Hunter. As Klay ran to the ran to appear as an option, he already had the ball in his hands.

Cameras couldn’t capture this and fans were left scratching their heads. No one could figure out how Klay got the ball from Dray or how the latter made the pass. A fan tweeted, “I always [knew] Klay was magical” together with LeBron James’ ‘LeLiar’ meme that broke the internet a while ago.

The only explanation for the fans wondering would be that the cameras were positioned in such a way that we couldn’t see how Dray made that pass. To support that, we can see DeAndre Hunter running up to block Klay as soon as he could, which indicates that he saw the pass from his view.
Klay put up 54 points against the Hawks on the night, as well as 8 rebounds and 3 assists. He has stepped up in Steph’s absence and has proven to be the best player at The Bay right now.
