UFC fighter Kevin Holland got into an altercation with another fellow fighter. Reports are suggesting that Holland had a brawl with UFC middleweight fighter Joseph Holmes. The incident apparently took place in Dallas, Texas at Xtreme Knockout 60. Holland is usually a very friendly fighter and fans would want to know what really went down between the two.
Nicknamed “Ugly Man,” Holmes is a fighter in the UFC’s middleweight division. He joined the company in January last year and lost to Jamie Pickett on his debut. He holds a UFC record of 1 win and 2 losses, with his last fight coming against Jun Yong Park in October 2022. Interestingly, Holland was also a middleweight fighter for a long period of time.
Joseph Holmes took to Instagram to spill the beans about the incident. From what Holmes has to say, it looks like Holland was the one to instigate the violence. Apparently, Holland and Holmes ran into each other on the staircases of the above-mentioned event. As per Joseph Holmes, Holland held a grudge against him because he reportedly dated Holland’s uncle’s ex-girlfriend.
He said, “I go back upstairs, and I see Kevin coming down the stairs. He stops in front of me, and reaches his hands out like he’s gonna stop me, then grabs my arm… then I back him up. And next thing you know I’m getting punched in the back of my head.”

The 27-year-old revealed, “Over some long a** beef that’s long ago. I dated his f***ing uncle’s ex-girlfriend. And that’s some beef that now I deserve to get hit in the back of the head over? Like get yo b***h a** on bro.” (h/t via Sportskeeda)
This is the second time in the past few months that Kevin Holland has been involved in a brawl. He got into a big argument against Khamzat Chimaev on UFC 279 press conference day. There was bad blood between the parties and it came to a boiling point when they saw each other backstage. After extraordinary developments, the two ended up fighting in the co-main event of the PPV.
Kevin Holland returns to action at UFC 287
Kevin Holland is perhaps the most action-friendly fighter in the company. While others may have a dud of a performance every now and then, there is never a dull moment when he is fighting. It was proved once again in his last bout against Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson. Although Wonderboy won the bout comprehensively, there was always a feeling that one big punch from Holland could change it all!
He was so tough that some even compared his performance to Nate Diaz’s. Holland also seemingly endured some injuries during the grueling contest. However, that did not stop him from making a quick turnaround once more. Recently UFC President Dana White revealed the card for UFC 287.
Well I guess the news is out. Ya boy heals fast.
