Greg Hardy is a very interesting personality in the world of combat sports. The former NFL player earned his name playing football. He was a defensive end for Carolina Panthers from 2010-2014. He spent a year with Dallas Cowboys before disappearing from the league. The main reason behind his downfall in NFL was his being found guilty of assaulting his then-girlfriend Nicole Holder, who was a 24-year-old cocktail waitress.

He then decided to make a career shift and turned his attention to Mixed Martain Arts (MMA). His first pro-MMA bout came against Austen Lane at Dana White’s Contender Series. However, he was not given a UFC contract right away. Hardy made his promotional debut against Allen Crowder in January 2019. He subsequently had 10 fights in the promotion and had a record of 5 losses, 4 wins, and 1 no-contest.

He was cut from the promotion after losing three successive fights against Tai Tuivasa, Marcin Tybura, and Sergey Spivak respectively. He then went on to fight for BKFC in February 2023. Even there Hardy could not make a career for himself as Josh Watson knocked him out in the second of their bout. However, he did make his professional boxing debut before that and has an unbeaten record of 2-0.

Unfortunately for him, his professional fighting career seems to be winding down as well. In a recently released video, Greg Hardy can be seen addressing his fans from a Walmart store. However, he was not in the middle of a shopping spree. Instead, he was working there as an employee. As one could imagine, it was not the most appealing job for him, and Hardy accused people of being rude to him.

He added, “These n****s then turn me into one of them motherf***ing Walmart spectrum greeters n****. Your boy, listen, I don’t know if you’ll (are in Texas). If you in Texas, you’re in Garland, come see your boy. We’re in f***ing Walmart, I save some spectrum, cause I’m quitting today n****. How the f*** you gonna turn G Hardy into godd***…. how you gonna turn your boy into a godd*** greeter n****.”

How much is Greg Hardy worth in 2023?

According to a report from Celebrity Net Worth, Greg Hardy has a net worth of $4 million. Compared to other NFL athletes, it is certainly not as high. According to Spotrac, in his debut season for NFL in 2010, Hardy earned $435,786 while playing for Carolina Panthers. In the subsequent four seasons for the team, Hardy earned $405,000, $540,000, $1,3000,000, and $13,116,000.

He made a big switch Dallas Cowboys and inked a one-year deal with the team for around $13 million. However, he only earned $3,041,379 during the season. In total, he netted $18,838,165 during his NFL tenure. After that, he had 10 fights in the UFC. However, the 34-year-old did not have the most lucrative contract in the promotion. He earned about $1.2 million from the biggest MMA promotion in the world.

However, with him being out of the UFC, it does not look like Hardy has a lot of options for a stable income, and had to work for Walmart. So what is your take on the situation? Let us know in the comments down below.
