Victor Wembanyama could potentially be the next biggest thing in the NBA if all were to go well. Several teams have already decided they want him on their roster. Wemby could be one of those types that bring immediate change to any roster. Most of the lesser successful teams are aiming to land him during the upcoming 2023 NBA Draft.
The French prospect burst onto the scene with his unbelievable skill set standing at nearly 7″4 feet in height. There are quite a few players like him already such as Kevin Durant. But what separates the NBA great and Victor Wembanyama is how much taller he is. One of the only issues that he may face is his thin frame which could take a lot of damage if not trained.
But nothing stands in the way of Victor Wembanyama, he claimed. A sudden leap into the limelight may be a little concerning and hard to handle for someone like Wemby. The Metropolitans 92 center claims that he pays no attention to the downside of the business. He told ESPN, “I didn’t even think about the risk, my parents probably did. But that ain’t my role. It’s not my way of thinking. Anything that I do, that I step into, I’m sure that I’ll succeed.”
For as confident, as he is right now, it should not be a problem in the long run. There are very few players out there like him who pay no heed to what fame can do. From dealing with three paparazzi to maintaining his personal image due to fame and staying at the peak of his game, these things can be mentally taxing.
Victor Wembanyama gets praised by NBA superstars
Victor Wembanyama often reminds everybody of a very young Kevin Durant. The French athlete is an incredibly versatile scorer of the ball that can shoot the three ball with ease. He also possesses the ability to attack the rim by driving in and blocking shots within the paint as well. This has all brought him worldwide recognition and appreciation from one very important player of the NBA currently.
LeBron James has often given his flowers to Victor Wembanyama. According to James, the youngster is a generational talent that rarely comes. James would also relate to Wemby on various levels as he was also a big-time prospect while he was in high school.

“The most important thing is stay true to the game. And that’s one thing for me. I always tell myself, ‘I’m going to commit to the game. I’m going to train. I’m going to prepare myself physically, mentally, spiritually, to give to the game if you want to be great,” said the Los Angeles Lakers forward.
