FC Barcelona played against Deportivo Alaves and won 3-1 in a heated match between the two teams. However, Barcelona’s new signing, Vitor Roque, made headlines in the game for positive as well as negative reasons during the match. He came in as a substitute and quickly scored for his new club, but only a few minutes later he received a second yellow, got a red card, and was sent off.

However, a post on social media site X claims that Vitor Roque is the youngest player to get a red card for being fouled. The claims made by the post are completely false, as he was not fouled and was shown a red card for stamping the opposition player. He is also not the youngest player in soccer history to receive a red card in the sport.
Barcelona manager Xavi blasts La Liga and its referees after Vitor Roque’s red card
The Barcelona manager criticized the match officials once more after Vitor Roque got sent off in an odd red card incident versus Alaves on February 3. The manager had previously claimed officials in La Liga unfairly favor Real Madrid. The Brazilian scored his team’s third goal shortly after entering the game as a substitute in the 59th minute.
Xavi: “I only ask the referees to let us compete in the League. The red card of Vitor Roque is another mistake. It’s one more against Barça… The reality is already being seen by everyone.” pic.twitter.com/TGcZi1JvjF

At the post-match press conference, Xavi said, “I don’t need to say anything. We are paying for the Negreira case, that’s the reality. That’s what I feel. The only thing I ask is that they let us compete, that’s all I ask. I’m never going to talk about referees again.”
However, he was only able to play for a short while since he was forced to leave the field after receiving two bookings in five minutes. After the match, Xavi expressed his rage by saying that the Catalan heavyweights are being penalized for the Caso Negreira controversy.
Youngest player to receive a red card in soccer history
At the tender age of seventeen, Cameroon defender Rigobert Song was the youngest player to earn a red card in a FIFA World Cup match when he was sent off against South American juggernauts Brazil. Rigobert Song first gained notoriety at a very young age.

At the age of sixteen, Rigobert was selected captain of the U-20 team because of his defensive prowess and quickness. It remains to be seen whether this unique record will be broken by any soccer player in the history of the sport, but as of now, Rigobert Song holds this unwanted record.
