The Island Boys seemingly appeared out of thin air in 2021. Whilst their meteoric rise to fame was certainly an amusing watch, things have not exactly gone their way ever since. Most recently, one-half of the rap duo, Kodiyakredd was arrested in Florida.
According to multiple reports doing the rounds, Kodiyakredd, the twin of Flyysoulja was arrested on Cinco De Mayo (Friday, May 5) in Broward County, Florida. As per the leaked records, Kodiyakredd, whose real name is Frank Venegas, was arrested for domestic violence. However, according to his Instagram and TikTok accounts, he has since been released.

Taking to his Instagram stories, Frank Venegas posted a story upon being released from jail. “I know I look f*cked up right now, I was sitting in County jail for 3, 3 days and stuff like that”. Further, he adds, “24 hours lockdown, but I’m out man, I’m free, prrr”. Although he is seemingly free, there does not seem to be a lot of details regarding the case.
For the most part, Frank made numerous TikToks with his girlfriend prior to his arrest. Since many have often pointed out his toxic relationship with his girlfriend, Frank finally responded to these comments. According to the 21-year-old, he believes that most people are simply jealous of him, his relationship with his girlfriend, and the wealth that he has amassed.
This is not the first time the Island Boys have gotten into trouble
Interestingly, this is not the first time, the Island Boys have found themselves embroiled in controversy. More specifically, Kodiyakredd has been accused of domestic violence previously as well. In January last year, Frank was accused of domestic violence by then-girlfriend, Montaisha Shanell, on her Instagram Live. Although the two had been romantically involved, Shanell stated that Frank would beat her regularly.
Further, Frank was also accused of battery when he reportedly struck his brother’s girlfriend after she refused to leave their property. Notably, there is no evidence of any charges being filed for either instance. However, matters escalated very quickly when their Florida house was raided in February 2022. According to reports, a suspect was arrested following a SWAT raid.
As it turns out, one of their childhood friends, Andrew James Thomas, was involved in a drive-by shooting that claimed the life of an 8-year-old girl. At the time of the raid, Alex Venegas was present on the premises and cooperated with the police. Reportedly, he had refused to let Thomas hide the murder weapon in their rental home, which was eventually found in the laundry room.
Notably, the twins went viral owing to the release of their “I’m an Island Boy” song. Since then, they’ve appeared on numerous podcasts including Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE. Unfortunately, that did not end well and in fact resulted in a rivalry between them, George Janko and Jake Paul.
