Taylor Swift undoubtedly had one of the biggest and craziest fan-following in the world. Now, after her link-up rumors with star tight end Travis Kelce, she has affected the NFL as well. The league owners didn’t leave any stone unturned to make the best out of it as Swift was everywhere on their social media. However, it didn’t go well with the fans as they made the NFL revert their decision.
Ever since the pop star attended two NFL games to support the Chiefs star, she has been everywhere on the internet. The NFL also decided to make the best out of it. After the Chiefs’ victory over the Jets, the NFL added the photo of Taylor Swift as their cover photo on X. Moreover, they also changed their bio on Instagram to “Chiefs are 2-0 as Swifties”.

The fact that the 1989 singer was everywhere on the NFL’s social media disappointed football fans. Ari Meirov, an NFL reporter, took to X to share the screenshots of the cover photo and bio of the NFL featuring Taylor Swift. “At some point, this is just a little ridiculous,” his caption read. Right after his post, fans filled the comment section agreeing with Meirov.
One fan wrote, “Ari, it’s been ridiculous”. Another one commented, “There has to be a fine balance. The bio especially is just absurd”. One fan wrote, “They r adding Taylor’s fans to the league but they r losing the actual NFL fans”. Another fan commented, “It’s gross. And so desperate”. One fan commented, “It’s unbearable already”. Another one wrote, “Very cringey”.
It’s obvious that fans are already fed up with all the Taylor Swift drama. Having her everywhere might be interesting for the Swifties, but the football fans care about only the game.
The presence of Taylor Swift has undoubtedly impacted the NFL and Travis Kelce positively
After Travis Kelce revealed about inviting Taylor Swift to the game, everyone was surprised. However, when the pop sensation came to cheer for him, it sent the internet into a frenzy. The 6-foot-5 tall tight end didn’t disappoint her as his team won both the games Swift attended. But, along with the wins, the Grammy award winner has impacted the NFL and Kelce in many ways.
As per reports, the match between the Chiefs and the Jets became the most-watched show in the USA last week. The game reportedly got over 24.3 million viewers because of Taylor Swift. Not just this, Forbes reported that the ticket price for the game also skyrocketed by 40% for that game.
As for the October 1989-born tight end, his jersey became one of the highest-selling jerseys after Swift’s presence. The Ohio-born star player’s merchandise sales reportedly surged by a massive 400%. Along with that, Kelce also got over 300,000 new followers on social media.
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift seem to be spending a lot of time together. The two left the stadium together after the first game at Arrowhead Stadium. During the previous game, they left separately, but the duo reportedly spent the previous night together. Now, it’ll be interesting to see how much more the NFL and Kelce will benefit from the 1989 singer.
