Luka Doncic returned last night for the Dallas Mavericks after missing 5 games with a thigh injury. However, it wasn’t a happy return for the Slovenian who was left frustrated after the final buzzer. Last night’s game was highly contested in a highly competitive Western Conference. The Mavericks hosted the Golden State Warriors. Last night’s loss took the Warriors 2 wins ahead of the Mavs, leaving them out of the playoff spot.
Nonetheless, Luka made his presence felt for the Mavericks. The Mavs find themselves without their star point guards playing together. Kyrie Irving was left out of tonight’s game with a foot injury. The Warriors won the contest with a near margin, 127-125. Luka scored a game-high 30 points, after missing 5 games for the Mavs. However, he is being slammed by NBA fans after his gesture at the end of the game.

This is not the only time Doncic has been complaining about the referees. Some fans have made Bizzare comparisons of Luka to Manchester United’s star Bruno Fernandes. At the moment fans are frustrated with Doncic’s behavior and labeling him the “whiniest player in the league.” Indeed, Doncic is often not given calls, however, he is also one of the few players who gets those calls.
NBA fans slam Luka Doncic for money gesture toward the referees
This isn’t the first time Doncic has shown his frustration with the referees in an NBA game. Doncic was left frustrated with the referees, after the marginal loss to the Warriors. He made a money gesture to the referee after he wasn’t given a call. Doncic attempted a layup with 3 seconds left on the clock and felt he was fouled, for which the referees didn’t call the foul.
Doncic made it look as if the referees, were tipped off against him. However, NBA fans were not entertained by it, and felt frustrated with Doncic’s behavior during the game. Some fans even expressed their frustration with the Slovenian. “Luka literally gets every and any foul call he wants… bro complains to the refs all game long it’s unbearable watching him,” one fan wrote.

Luka and the Mavs scored 10 more free throws than the Warriors and Doncic still act like that is something the fans won’t enjoy. It is becoming a usual routine for the Slovenian to blame the referees when his team is about to lose a game. Nonetheless, after last night’s antics, it will be curious about what the NBA does, after how Doncic insinuated the referees.
