Janel Grant filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court in Connecticut in Januaey 2024 against WWE co-founder Vince McMahon. Grant has accused McMahon of s*xually abusing her on multiple occasions from 2019 to 2022, the period when Grant worked at the company. Grant has claimed that McMahon s*xually exploited her and even forced her to have intimate relationships with other persons related to the company.

Soon after Grant filed her lawsuit, McMahon’s team released a statement denying all charges. The 78-year-old’s spokesperson claimed that Grant’s allegations were not true. Moreover, the spokesperson has also reiterated that McMahon would vigorously fight against the allegations and prove his innocence. In addition to this, TKO Group Holdings, the parent company of the WWE, has also stated that they would look into the “horrific” allegations.

According to reports, Janel Grant met Vince McMahon in 2019, shortly before she started working at his company. Grant lived in an apartment in the same building where McMahon lived in a penthouse duplex. Before meeting McMahon, Grant was in a terrible condition. It was Janel Grant‘s building manager who introduced her to Vince McMahon, hoping to solve the former’s financial problems. The plaintiff and the defendant met each other and it ended up in Grant being offered an entry-level job as “legal administrator-coordinator” with a salary of $75,000. She revealed that she was forced to send s*xual content to a WWE fighter whom people believe is Brock Lesnar. McMahon had used her to influence Lesnar into signing a new WWE contract.
