The news regarding Jeremy Renner in critical condition put a lot of MCU fans on edge as 2023 started. The Hawkeye actor was run over by a snow plow while he was attempting to help a stranded family member. The accident left him in the ICU, battling for his life. He had suffered blunt chest trauma and multiple fractures.
Several co-stars and former colleagues of Jeremy Renner wished him a speedy recovery after his accident. Having gone through multiple surgeries already, Renner is expected to remain in the hospital to treat the injuries. The Marvel star took to social media to give an update and even addressed his worried fans and thanked them for their well-wishes.

Support started pouring in from all spheres, and among them, was Dutch kickboxer, Rico Verhoeven, the reigning Glory heavyweight champion.
Verhoeven, who holds a 56-10 kickboxing record according to FiteTV, seems to be a fan of the MCU actor. He commented on Renner’s post, writing, “Get well soon,” following it up with a couple of emojis.
Despite Renner’s recovery, worries still loom over him needing an amputation for his leg. Several fans, like Verhoeven, have expressed their concerns over Renner losing the ability to walk. But they will also be glad to know that Renner is on the road to recovery.
Will Jeremy Renner walk again after the snow plow accident?
Fans and Jeremy Renner’s loved ones, alike, have been very concerned about him after the horrific accident, and rightfully so. The nearly 7-ton vehicle crushed his legs after he attempted to get in the driver’s seat to stop it. He also suffered chest trauma from the accident.
An inside source told Radar Online that there are serious doubts over Renner’s ability to “ever be able to walk right again – or at all.” The source then elaborated, saying, “His loved ones worry the damage was significant enough to prevent him from moving the way he used to – that is if he doesn’t lose the leg altogether.” Fans were very worried after this news broke. Many were anxious about the possibility of the Hawkeye star needing an amputation and losing his leg.

The lead doctors in Renner‘s case have not confirmed anything yet. And no reports regarding Jeremy Renner’s family confirming his needing an amputation have emerged.
However, with the damage the snow plow did to Renner’s leg, it is natural for doubts to be cast over his ability to walk. As things stand, Renner is in stable condition. And having regained consciousness, Renner is well on in what will be a slow and long road to recovery.
