Cody Rhodes shocked the entire WWE universe at Payback by announcing the unexpected return of Jey Uso. The fan-favorite Uso had been off screen ever since walking out during a SmackDown episode, and different speculations were going on around him.
However, putting an end to all those scenarios, Jey made a thumping return on the recent PLE. But it was also announced that he’ll now be performing on Monday Night RAW. As Main Event Jey has made a move to the red brand, there are numerous feuds or matches he can be involved in.

Pointing out one such possibility, a WWE audience member shared on his X handle that Jey Uso is definitely worthy of challenging the only WWE superstar on RAW who comes close to Roman Reigns’ undefeated streak. The performer is none other than the reigning Intercontinental Champion, Gunther.
Everyone knows that The Tribal Chief is currently in one of the most historic title reigns in the Stamford-based promotion’s history. No active star in the company comes close to his undefeated streak, except Imperium’s leader.
Even though Gunther is on the verge of becoming the longest reigning IC Champion in history, Jey is definitely among the few guys who can challenge him. If Main Event Jey really decides to demand a shot at The Ring General’s title, who knows if he’ll actually end up dethroning him to end his dominant run?
Will Jey Uso confront Gunther on RAW?
After making a surprise appearance at WWE Payback to mark his return to Triple H’s company, Jey is set to appear on RAW’s September 4 episode. Additionally, Gunther is also set to defend his title on the show night against Chad Gable.

As both The Ring General and Main Event Jey are going to be on Monday Night RAW, there’s a possibility that Jey can confront Gunther. As Imperium’s leader is set to cross the mark for the record for longest IC title reign on September 7, 2023, it doesn’t seem like he’ll lose his title on this week’s RAW.
However, if the Triple-H led promotion decides to have Gunther and Jey in a rivalry, they can possibly have the fan-favorite show up after the champion’s title defense. Main Event Jey can even appear during the match to even the odds, as Imperium will probably be at ringside to give an advantage to the Intercontinental Champion.
Whatever happens on the September 4 episode, it’s guaranteed that if Jey is going to be next in line to challenge for the IC Championship, he’ll probably show up. It’ll be interesting to see how things unfold during Gunther’s match against Gable and also if Main Event Jey is really going to be involved in a rivalry against The Ring General.
