Jim Miller is an American professional mixed martial artist and the younger brother of Dan Miller, currently signed to the UFC. He currently competes in the UFC’s lightweight division at 40 years of age. Recently, Dana White praised the UFC veteran in ‘The TRUTH’ podcast hosted by the former candidate for the Republican Party nominations, Vivek Ramaswamy.
Amongst the many different things they discussed in the podcast, one of them was the fighter’s pay and the varied UFC pay structures the fighters are put in according to their record, performance, and rankings. Dana White addressed the fact that a champion of the UFC is considered a partner in the company and earns like one.
It was then that Dana White cited the example of Jim Miller. Dana said, “We got a guy right now who is 40 years old and he is on a hot streak”. He added, “His name is Jim Miller and he’s been around forever, he’s been around since we brought the company and he’s still fighting”.
Dana White then went on to call Jim Miller a journeyman. He said, “And this is a guy who’s been… I guess you could call him a journeyman”. Commenting on the kind of Miller has made, White said, “If you ask most people they wouldn’t know who Jim Miller is and the guy has made millions of dollars.” Apart from all the money, he has more than a few commendable records under his name.
Jim Miller: UFC records and achievements
Dana White has labeled Jim Miller a journeyman, and rightly so. Jim ‘A-10’ Miller has been in the UFC for over 15 years now, first fighting in the promotion in 2008 against David Baron. A fight that he won via submission in the 3rd round. He then went on to win his next fight as well but encountered a loss in his third fight.
After which, he won six straight fights before being handed his second UFC defeat. Since then, he has furthered his career and has a professional MMA record of 37-17-0 (1 NC). This includes the record for most UFC wins by any fighter ever, with 26 such wins under his belt. He also holds the record for the most fights won in the lightweight division ever.

Miller has the second-highest number of victories via submission in the UFC at 12. Jim Miller’s UFC career has also amounted to 15 fight-of-the-night bonuses, ranking him fourth on the all-time list. Above all, the record that defines him the best is undoubtedly the most fights in UFC history at a record 43 bouts. Jim Miller is the epitome of the statement, “Age is just a number”.
Interestingly enough, Jim Miller has never missed weight in any of his 43 UFC bouts despite fighting in three different weight classes: welterweight, lightweight, and featherweight. This is a commendable achievement in itself and a testimony to his professionalism.
Only UFC fighter to fight at UFC 100, UFC 200 and UFC 300
Jim Miller might regret never challenging for a UFC title, but he will soon have one thing on his resume that no one else can ever boast of. In under 3 months, the world will tune in to watch the UFC’s marquee event in 2024. The UFC 300 is scheduled to take place on April 13, 2024. The hype surrounding the event has been unparalleled among UFC fans.

The card is shaping up to be quite a spectacle in itself. Moreover, the main event hasn’t been announced yet, but there is plenty to be excited about. Especially for those who have been around for some time in the UFC fandom. Jim Miller, aged 40, will be competing against Bobby Green in the marquee event on the main card.
This marks a very special achievement for Jim Miller, something he will always cherish. The moment he steps foot in the octagon on April 13, Miller will become the only UFC fighter to fight in UFC 100, UFC 200, and UFC 300. This is the best memory Jim’s consistency and vigor could have given him as a reward.
At UFC 100, Jim Miller fought Mac Danzig and won the fight via unanimous decision. At UFC 200, Miller famously faced Takanori Gomi in the first fight of the night and delivered a TKO in the first round. Now slated to face off against Bobby Green in under 3 months, Miller would be hoping to secure a win. This would cement his already dignified legacy in the world of MMA.
