LeBron James is having one of the best seasons in recent years. He broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s scoring record recently and seems to be adding more to it as well. It’s been two years since we saw the King in the playoffs as the Los Angeles Lakers have disappointed fans twice in a row. It looked like it was going to be a different case this year until LeBron suffered a foot injury.
For those who don’t know, LeBron hasn’t played for the Lakers for a while now. It was when he played against the Dallas Mavericks, and James said something along the lines of “I heard it pop.”
LeBron James has been evaluated by Lakers team physicians and medical staff, and it has been determined that he has sustained a right foot tendon injury. James will be reevaluated in approximately three weeks.

After a while, the Lakers announced that James avoided surgery but would have to be re-evaluated in three weeks. Although it has only been two weeks now, it looks like a return could be on the cards.
When will LeBron James return from injury?
Recently, the 4x NBA champ took to Instagram to share an image. It displayed an animated picture of the man himself, recharging. He captioned the image with a crown and hourglass emoji, indicating that it’s only a matter of time before the King returns.

If that wasn’t enough good news for Lakers fans, a recent clip is going viral on Twitter as well. It showed LeBron shooting free throws at the Smoothie King Center. The Lakers face the New Orleans Pelicans and it looks like King James took part in the warm ups as well.

His recent appearances speak at length about LeBron’s commitment and hunger to return as soon as he can. Recently, he attended Beyoncé and JAY-Z’s Oscars Gold Party with Savannah James and left fans in awe. Just a day later, he’s in New Orleans putting in the work to get back for the Lakers.

LeBron averaged 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists this season. His return could mean that the Lakers could finally be at full strength and be one of the best teams in the West, provided they make best use of the roster and make it to the postseason. There’s no definite date announced as of yet, but we can expect it in the coming days.
