The 2023 NBA All-Star game will take place on February 19, 2023, in Salt Lake City. It is an occasion that NBA fans have been waiting for since last year. In this year’s edition, LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo will face off as All-Star captains. The NBA superstars will pick their reserve players right before the game and then the starters from the players pool.
LeBron James will not be available for today’s NBA All-Star Practice and Media Day due to personal reasons. James will be made available to the media on Sunday at 3 p.m. MT in the Vivint Arena press conference room.

As the anticipation has been building up to the game, King James will miss the All-Star practice recently. Together with that, sources claim that he will be absent for the media day as well.
Why did LeBron James miss All-Star practice?
According to NBA PR’s tweet, King James’ would not attend practice due to personal reasons. NBA fans are aware of how James has been struggling with injuries this season. At the start of the 2022-23 NBA season, LeBron suffered an adductor injury that kept him on the sidelines for a significant amount of time. Even at 38 years old, James recovers like a freak of nature and dusted the injury off like it was nothing.
That was not the only setback LeBron has faced this year. He has been facing some major issues with his left ankle, as he’s often listed on the injury report for the same reason. Moreover, sources claimed recently that he is also dealing with a right ankle injury, which could eventually be a problem until the end of the season. However, it is not known whether that is the reason for LeBron’s absence from practice and media day.

The King has faced Giannis twice in the All-Star games to date, taking the win on both occasions. It will be interesting to see how the game goes, considering the numerous injured players, including Stephen Curry and Zion Williamson.
