While talking about this achievement, he expressed his ultimate goal of winning. Flynn said, “It’s tough (to put in perspective) because at the end of the day you want to win.” The Pistons’ guard continued to talk about how it feels good to kind of take in the moment. “I’m sure a couple of days from now, it will feel really good,” the former Raptors added.
Malachi Flynn had a previous career high of just 27 points
Malachi Flynn was drafted into the league after being selected by the Toronto Raptors as the 29th overall in the 2020 NBA Draft. After playing four seasons with the Canadian franchise, he found himself being traded to the New York Knicks. His stint with the New York City-based team didn’t last for long as just after five weeks, he was traded to the Detroit Pistons.
He has played 206 games so far in his career and averaged 5.2 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. For someone who has been averaging less than 10 points in his career, recording 50-points is a commendable. His previous career high stood at just 27, and now Flynn’s career high is almost double of this. With this performance, everyone’s expectations of the Pistons‘ guard will rise.
