Ever since WWE merged with the UFC earlier this month, there’s been a lot going on inside the company. The $21 billion deal ended up giving trouble to a lot of people, as a number of in-ring performers were recently released. But it seems that Matt Riddle has also become a victim of this talent cut by the Triple H-led promotion.
The Original Bro confirmed this news by himself through his X handle, as he shared that he’s no longer a part of the promotion. Following this confirmation, a lot of people started wondering if he’d also been fired due to the talent release, but it doesn’t seem like that was the case for his unexpected departure.
Just wanted to inform everyone that I’m no longer with WWE. Thank you for the memories and opportunities also thank you to all the fans for the support and love you give me every time I go out to the ring. See you all soon 🤙 pic.twitter.com/fpuQkIJAFx

This was revealed by a WWE higher-up as he talked about Riddle’s exit from the Stamford-based promotion. The higher-up claimed that the 37-year-old superstar had “burned through too many chances” during his time in the company, and that ended up becoming the reason behind his firing. (Via: WrestleTalk)
It’s important to point out that Matt was involved in a number of controversies throughout his pro wrestling career. During his journey with the Stamford-based promotion, Riddle failed drug tests and had to go to rehab. Even se*ual assault allegations were associated with his name before signing with WWE.
Despite so many issues, he was able to come back well and gain a decent amount of success in the company. But the RK-Bro star again got into problems, after he complained of being se*ually assaulted. After about two weeks of this incident, he ended up getting him fired from the Triple H-led promotion.
Has Matt Riddle’s se*ual assault complaint played a role in his WWE exit?
It’s true that Riddle has been involved in a number of controversies throughout his WWE career. But people wonder if his recent airport incident might have worked as the final nail in the coffin and became the reason for his departure from the Stamford-based promotion.
As everyone knows, The Original Bro recently revealed on social media that he was “se*ually assaulted” by a Port Authority officer. His allegations against the authority figure initiated an internal investigation in the law enforcement department, but the claims of the authorities were absolutely different.
TMZ reports that Matt Riddle’s sexual assault claim at JFK airport has triggered the launch of an internal investigation.
Law enforcement sources say Port Authority officers got a call for a disorderly person who was deplaning, and they met him in the terminal. As it turns out,… pic.twitter.com/XFVSSTqNdf

It was reported that Matt was deplaning during the September 10 incident, and it led to a chaotic situation. Additionally, the RK-Bro star was also trying to use his pro wrestler stature to avoid trouble, and these actions might have ended up being the reason why WWE reportedly considered him to be disorderly.
While it’s obvious that Riddle’s exit from the promotion isn’t really the result of a particular incident, the airport saga might have been the final thing WWE may have expected to occur. With Matt Riddle no longer being associated with the Triple H-led promotion, it remains to be seen what’ll be next for his in-ring career.
